| Description: | Billy (Tom Courtenay) is an irresponsible, lazy young man lost in a fantasy world. He keeps lying to get himself out of trouble, but it only makes things worse. He's in hot water at work, he's engaged to two girls and his parents are angry with him. His only chance to escape from his miserable existence is Liz (Julie Christie), a carefree girl who understands Billy's fantasy world. They plan on escaping to London, but at the last minute, Billy chickens out and Liz goes on by himself. |
