Review - Double Dynamite
Rather dull when Groucho wasn't on the screen. He totally stole the show.

| Description: | Johnny Dalton (Frank Sinatra) is a poor bank teller. He wants to marry Mibs (Jane Russell) but he doesn't think he can afford to. He breaks up a fight in an alley and discovers he's helped a gambler who rewards him with $1,000, then plays it on a string of "sure bets" at the races and turns it into $60,000. Johnny rushes to tell Mibs, but then he discovers $75,000 is missing from the bank. He knows he'll be acused, so he turns to his waiter buddy Emile (Groucho Marx). Groucho pretends he's a millionaire and makes friends with the bank's owner. Meanwhile, Mibs thinks Johnny stole the money and tries to clear things with the bank. She's arrested for theft. Emile and the owner clear her and Johnny (the missing money was caused by a faulty adding machine), and Johnny and Mibs get married and start an orange orchard with Emile. |
