Review - Revenger's Comedies, The
Pretty funny, actually. Carter's character is a bit over the top — as it was supposed to be, but the rest of the movie was great.

| Description: | Henry Bell's (Sam Neill) wife has left him and he's lost his job to a jerk, Bruce Tick (Steve Coogan). He's about to end it all by jumping off a bridge when he hears Karen Knightly (Helena Bonham Carter) calling for help. She tried to jump but got her belt stuck. He pulls her up and they share stories. She's upset with Imogen Billing (Kristin Scott Thomas) because Karen was having an affair with Imogen's husband, Anthony. Henry and Karen agree to seek revenge on each other's nemesis. Karen goes to work for Tick and convinces his wife he's having an affair with her. When his wife threatens divorce, Tick panics and has a asthma attack that kills him. Meanwhile, Henry has fallen for Imogen and vice versa. Imogen's husband challenges him to a duel, and Henry accidentally kills him. Karen gets upset and burns down her house. Everyone thinks she dies in the fire, but as Henry and Imogen get set to marry, Karen turns out to be the organist. |
