| Description: | Billy Dannreuther (Humphrey Bogart) is partnered up with four con men who are hoping to get to Africa to corner the marken on uranium. They meet up with Harry Chelm, a poor Englishman traveling to a coffee plantation. He gets wind of the con men's scheme and threatens to expose them. There's all sorts of conniving and double-crossing. In the end, the con men get arrested, Billy goes home and Chelm ends up making a fortune in uranium. Billy's wife Marie (Gina Lolobrigida) and Chelm's wife Gwendolen (Jennifer Jones) are along for the ride. |
