| Description: | A disgraced former college basketball coach, Norman Dale (Gene Hackman) is given a job as coach of the Hickory Huskers, a tiny team from a tiny high school in a tiny farming community. His drill sargeant style angers the townsfolk, but when the team begins to win, they change their minds. While courting a teacher and helping the town drunk get his act together, Dale manages to take the team to the state championship and win it. |
