Review - It Happened Tomorrow
Not awful, sorta cute, but often just silly. It had the feel of a movie made in the early 1930s.

| Description: | Larry Stevens (Dick Powell) is a newspaper reporter who wishes he could see the future to help with his reporting. An old man who works in the newspaper library begins giving Larry the next day's paper. He uses the information to get stories and become a local hero, but it also gets him into all sorts of trouble. Meanwhile, he meets and falls in love with Sylvia Smith (Linda Darnell), who performs a fortune-telling act with her uncle. She claims she's giving Larry the information in an effort to get him out of trouble with the police who think he knows about crimes because he's an accomplice. Larry gets a paper that predicts his own death. He uses the next day's paper to win at horse racing so he can leave Sylvia with a lot of money when he's dead. A thief steals the money and is shot — with Larry's wallet, which is why the paper reported him dead. Larry and Sylvia get married. |
