| Description: | Alda plays Michael Burgess, a professor who is having his history of the Battle of Cowpens turned into a movie. Problem is, the director wants to turn the story into a farce. Michael goes to work on the actors, including Faith Healy (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Elliot James (Michael Caine), but doesn't make much headway. To protest, he suits up for the final battle scene and leads the American army on an attack totally against the director's wishes. All this while trying to work out his relationship with fellow professor Gretchen (Lise Hilboldt). Michael's mother is played by Lillian Gish. |
