Review - Gigantic
A strange, slow-moving movie with some likeable characters. There's an odd sub-plot about a homeless man who stalks and attacks Brian repeatedly. The whole thing is probably just in his mind, although the bruises on his face are real. There's no explanation in the movie for all this, including the part near the end where Brian kills the guy. Maybe Brian created him to give his life drama and no longer needed him ... ?
Happy is pregnant (I think — This is never clearly stated either) at the end of the movie. Perhaps seeing Brian's family assures her that her and her baby will be accepted and wanted.
Ed Asner plays Brian's 80-year-old father. It's the first role I've ever seen him in where I thought he did a good job. The supporting cast is also interesting. There's way too much swearing and another scene or two that were totally unneccesary.
