| Description: | Eddie Hatch (Robert Walker) is a clerk in a department store. His boss, Mr. Savory, collects art. One evening, on a whim, Eddie kisses Savory's statue of Venus and the statue (Ava Gardner) comes alive. At first he panicks, but soon her spell is cast and he's in love. Savory has him arrested for stealing the statue, but when Venus makes him fall in love with Molly (Eve Arden), Eddie is set free. Eventually the spell ends and Venus becomes a statue again. But Eddie turns around and runs into a new female clerk at Savory's who looks just like her. |
