Description:Isaac Alder (Timothy Hutton) is a professor on the way to his wedding. He stops overnight in San Francisco. When the hotel loses one of his shoes, he heads out into the night to find another pair. His taxi gets in an accident, and as a result he meets Aurora (Maria Grazia Cucinotta), a rich woman who is unhappy with her marriage. The two explore the city together, and meet a variety of characters and have several odd adventures. By morning, they have fallen in love. Isaac takes off for New York, but returns to Aurora who has left her husband.

Review - Just One Night

The movie hovers right on the edge between "barely possible" and "farce." Hutton's professor, unruffled by all that happens around him, is somehow appealing. In the end, however, I couldn't bring myself to care what happened to the characters.
