Description:Tom Hansen (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) wanted to be an architect but ended up writing greeting cards. One day in the office, he meets Summer Finn (Zooey Deschanel), the girl of his dreams. But Summer makes it clear from the beginning that she doesn't believe in love and doesn't want to be involved in anything serious. Tom tries to go along with her, but is soon in love. And then Summer breaks it off. Depressed, Tom quits his job. After floundering for a while, he returns to architecture. Then he meets Summer again. She's friendly, and he thinks things will start up again — until he finds out she's engaged. The movie ends with Tom meeting a girl who's applying for the same architect job he's applying for. Her name is Autumn.

Review - (500) Days of Summer

As Hollywood does so often, it takes what could have been a great movie and made it cruder than it had to be. The pacing was clever, with inserts and flashbacks. I thought the character of Tom was boring. It wasn't Zooey at her best either — disinterested somehow. But the ending was cutish.
