Review - Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-Round
A fun film, with a lot of complexity and wit. Harrison Ford makes his film debut in a brief scene as a bell boy.

| Description: | Eli Kotch (Charles Coburn) is a con man planning to rob a bank at the L.A. Airport on the very day that the Russian premier arrives in town. To get money for the plans for the bank security system, he has to pull off a series of robberies around the country. He meets Inger, a rich woman's maid (Camilla Sparv) and, for cover, convinces her to marry him and fly to L.A. to rent an apartment. With his three partners, Kotch pulls off the robbery, using the confusion from the premier's visit to get lost in the crowd. He takes off with the money. But meanwhile, Inger gets a telegram that her employer has died and left her $7 million, much more than Kotch gets from the robbery. She tries to contact him, but the name she knows him by is false, so he loses out on all her money. |
