The Germans send an agent to England to check the man's back story. The plan almost falls apart when he visits Lucy Sherwood (Gloria Grahame), the roommate of Montagu's secretary who was portrayed as the dead man's fiancee. Review - Man Who Never Was, The

Good movie, except for Gloria Grahame who was totally unappealing in every way. The pacing was perfect, creating suspense without any major action or special effects. The fact that it was based on a true story also added interest.
