Description:Dardo (Burt Lancaster) is an outlaw in Lombardy who joins the rebellion against the Hessian conquerors led by Count Ulrich. Ulrich's niece Anne (Virginia Mayo) is captured by Dardo to exchange for Dardo's son. She falls in love with Dardo and warns him of a trap that's being set. Dardo and his men infiltrate Ulrich's castle during a carnival and defeat the Hessians.

Review - Flame and the Arrow, The

Typical swashbuckler with lots of acrobatics and sword fighting and general mayhem without blood — and with the hero getting the girl. Not much substance but a lot of flash and style.
