Review - Captain Horatio Hornblower R.N.
Considering it was made in 1951, it was very good. Gregrory Peck was perfect as Hornblower and the story was exciting.

Description: | Hornblower (Gregory Peck) sails to the Pacific to deliver arms to an ally of England. He captures a Spanish ship and turns it over to the ally, but when it is discovered that Spain and England have made peace, he must fight to sink the ship. He picks up Barbara Wellesley (Virginia Mayo), and on the way back to England, they fall in love. On another mission, Hornblower is captured by the French but manages to steal a ship, free a bunch of British prisoners and sail back to England where he finds out Barbara's husband has conveniently been killed. |
