Description:Andie (Molly Ringwald) is a high-school girl from the wrong side of the tracks. Her friend Duckie has had a crush on her forever, but she goes out with Blane, a rich kid who asks her to the prom. Blane's friends hastle him for it, and he chickens out. Andie is determined not to be defeated, so she makes her own dress and goes. Duckie meets her at the door and goes inside with her, but then Blane shows up and apologizes and Duckie tells Andie to forgive him and go with him.

There wasn't an admirable character in this film, except perhaps Duckie, and he was an idiot. And the part where Andie takes two servicable dresses and cuts them up and sews them together to make one tremendously ugle dress was a bit weird.
