Review - 36 Hours
It had potential, but didn't live up to it. Gerber and Anna switched sides too quickly. And the whole thing moved rather slowly.

| Description: | Jeff Pike (James Garner) is an American major who is kidnapped by the Germans just before D-Day. They drug him and convince him that the war has been over for five years. He tells them secrets of the invasion, but then realizes what is happening. Anna Hedler (Eva Marie Saint) is a Jewish nurse who has been let out of the camps. She pretends she is Jeff's wife, but when he finds out the hoax, she agrees to help him. She convinces the Germans that Jeff knew all along and was going along with it to trick them. Gerber (Rod Taylor) is the German doctor. The SS arrest him because they think his plan failed. he helps Jeff and Anna escape, then kills himself. Jeff and Anna escape to Switzereland. |
