Description: | Parnassus (Christopher Plummer) operates a traveling wagon show with his daughter Valentina (Lily Cole), Anton, who loves Valentina, and a dwarf. Parnassus tries to get people to pass through a mirror into his imagination where he competes with the devil for their souls. The stakes are Valentina's life. They pick up Tony, a mysterious stranger (Heath Ledger, who died halfway through the movie) who seems to be helping, but we can. Never know for sure. In the end, Parnassus helps the devil kill Tony in exchange for Valentina's life. She marries Anton. |
