Review - Five Steps to Danger
The plot didn't make much sense, but Sterling Hayden and Ruth Roman did a good job with the little they had.

Description: | John Emmett (Sterling Hayden) is on vacation when his car breaks down. He meets Ann Nicholson (Ruth Roman), who asks him to help her drive to Santa Fe. They're stopped by cops who try to arrest Ann for murder in L.A. They escape, and Ann gives John a long tale about trying to smuggle secret information from her brother in East Germany to a scientist. From there, the plot dissolves into a mix of doctors, German agents and U.S. intelligence agents all trying to get the information. John and Ann fall in love and get married and help the agents break up the German spy ring. The information gets into the right hands. |
