| Description: | After her abusive husband hits her son Frankie and makes him deaf, Lizzie (Emily Mortimer) takes Frankie and moves away. To hide this from Frankie, Lizzie tells him his dad is on a ship. Frankie sends his dad letters which Lizzie answers. But when the ship docks near their home, Lizzie has to find a man to pose as Frankie's dad. Louie (Gerald Butler), brother of Lizzie's co-worker, agrees. He and Frankie hit it off, and so do he and Lizzie. After he leaves, Lizzie's real husband dies and she finds out Frankie's known about her deception all along. |
