The plot was pat, as was the love story. It was chiefly interesting because it showed how baseball is played in Japan.

| Description: | Jack Elliot (Tom Selleck) is a slumping slugger who is sent to Japan to play. He has a lousy attitude and wants no part of the Japanese game. But his manager, and the manager's daughter, convince him otherwise. He helps his team win the pennant, marries the girl and becomes a coach back in the states. |
