| Description: | Bob (Fred MacMurray) drags his wife Betty (Claudette Colbert) off into the woods to start a chicken farm. The meet a bunch of eccentric neighbors (including Ma and Pa Kettle who apparently wandered in from another movie), deal with hardships and learn to live the life. When Betty thinks Bob has run off with the high-class owner of the farm down the road, she runs home to mother. After she has a baby, she returns to Bob and finds out that he hadn't run off - he'd just bought her the nicer farm. |
