OK, but just OK. I don't care much for Robinson, and none of the other actors (including Jayne Mansfield in her debut) brought anything much.

| Description: | Edward G. Robinson plays Victor Scott, a D.A. running for mayor. He wins a case and gets a man sent to death row, then finds out the man was innocent. Scott resigns his position, turns to drink and to taking shabby cases and ends up working for a mobster. But when Ellen (Nina Foch), Scott's ward, is accused of murdering her husband, Scott cleans up his act and manages to get her off and the mobster convicted. |
