| Description: | Lt. Duke Halliday (Robert Mitchum) is in Mexico being chased by Capt. Vincent Blake (William Bendix) who has accused him of stealing an Army payroll. Halliday is himself chasing Fiske, whom he says really stole the money. Along the way, Duke runs into Joan Graham (Jane Greer), Fiske's old girlfriend from whom he also stole some money. Duke and Joan don't like each other at first, but soon join up when the realize they have a common goal. There are a lot of car chases and funny bits, but in the end, they end up together and the Mexican police get the bad guys and the money. |
