Bridie isn't fully aware of how serious a thing she's involved with. Meanwhile, Lt. David Baynes (Trevor Howard) happens upon her and falls immediately in love. He follows Bridie all over as she pursues her goal. When she realizes what she's got, she realizes she can't help the Germans. She destroys the evidence. She and David are captured by the Germans but escape. They realize that the info Bridie has will only get them into future trouble, so they plan on turning themselves in. But when they hear that the D-Day invasion has taken place, they run. Bridie goes back to Ireland while David rejoins the war. He returns and marries her after the war.

Review - I See a Dark Stranger

Kinda fun in a cute way. Deborah Kerr isn't quite convincing as a spy, but she gives it a good try.

I saw this movie on Turner Classic Movies. It has a good mix of suspense, romance and humor that rings true most of the time.
