Review - Hugo
Visually stunning, and it kept my interest, but in the end, the story just didn't thrill me.

Description: | Hugo (Asa Butterfield) is a young boy who lives alone in the walls of the Paris train station. He is trying to rebuild an automaton, which is all he has left from his father. He steals parts from Georges Melles (Ben Kingsley), a toy maker with a shop in the station. Melles catches him and puts him to work. Hugo makes friends with Isabelle, Melles' neice, and together they solve a mystery — Melles is an old fimmaker who thinks all his movies have been destroyed. When Hugo and Isabelle locate a man who has copies, Melles comes out of his depression and gains the recognition he deserves. |
