Description:Billy Chapel (Kevin Costner) is pitching the final game of the season, and probably the final game of his great career. As he retires one batter after another, he thinks back over the past years and how he blew it with his girlfriend Jane (Kelly Preston). With some luck and a lot of help from his teammates, he pitches a perfect game, then retires and pursues Jane.

Review - For Love of the Game

I wanted to like it, but it was just too corny and Costner's character was just a bit too wacky. The dialogue he had with himself while on the mound worked for a while, but got old as the movie went on — and on.
