Review - Babe: Pig in the City
The sets were amazing, and I got a kick out of Thelonius, the orangutan, but otherwise it was just your typical animal movie.

| Description: | Farmer Hoggett is injured when Babe tries to help him on the farm. While he is laid up, bankers come and threaten a foreclosure. Mrs. Hoggett takes Babe to a fair in the city so he can demonstrate his sheep-herding ability and earn some money. She misses her connecting flight and has to stay in the city in a hotel where a performer (Mickey Rooney) keeps several animals — dogs, cats and monkeys. Mrs. Hoggett is mistakenly arrested. Babe ends up with the circus act, and when he accidentally destroys the set, the monkeys set a pit bull on him. The pit bull falls in the river and Babe saves him and becomes the leader of the animals. They're caught and put in a pound, but Babe leads them to safety just as Mrs. Hoggett arrives. They all go back to the farm — along with the lady who owned the hotel. |
