| Description: | Gil (Owen Wilson) travels to Paris with is fiancee Inez (Rachel McAdams). She wants to party and see the sights, but he's more interested in the history and mystique of the city. Out late one night, he's picked up by a couple on an old car who turn out to be F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald. They end up back in the 1920s where Gil meets Hemingway, Gertrude Stein, Picasso, etc. He's enchanged, but Inez thinks he's nuts. Gil meets Picasso's mistress Adriana (Marion Cotillard) and they hit it off. He travles back several times, meeting different people and hanging with Adriana. One night when the get picked up by a horse and go back to the 1890s, which Adriana thinks is the golden age. She decides to stay. Back in the present, Gil decides to break up with Inez and stay in Paris. He meets a young woman who shares his love or Paris in the rain and Cole Porter. |
