Description:Two friends, Jack (Charles Rogers) and Dave (Richard Arlen) are both in love with Sylvia (Jobyna Ralston), who only has eyes for Dave. Jack's next-door-neighbor Mary (Clara Bow) has a crush on him, but he doesn't pay her much attention. Both boys volunteer to fly during WWI and become heroes. Mary joins the woman's corp, but when she catches up with Jack, who is drunk and with another woman and doesn't recognize her, she goes home. Dave is shot down behind enemy lines. He captures a German plane and tries to fly back to his base, but Jack sees the plane and shoots it down, killing Dave. He's sad, but accepts the fact that war is war. He finds out that Sylvia never loved him when he cleans out Dave's stuff. He goes home to Mary who forgives him. Gary Cooper has a short bit in which he out-acts everyone else in the movie.

Review - Wings

Not bad for a silent movie. There was a lot of tearful gazing into eyes and running around like ants, but the air shots that were actually filmed without special effects were pretty impressive.
