| Description: | On a cruise, Doctor Karl Decker (Spencer Tracy) saves Georgi (Hedy Lamarr), a high-class model, from committing suicide. Georgi was depressed because the man she loved decided not to divorce his wife. Decker works at an inner-city clinic. Georgi follows him there, and on the spur of the moment, they get married. Things go well until Decker wins an honor and takes Georgi uptown to celebrate. They meet her old bunch, including the man Georgi loved. Decker takes a job at a prestigious clinic so he can give his wife the life she's used to, but he soon realizes he's out of place. When he finds out she went to see her old boyfriend, he decides to head for China. But Georgi was only tying up loose ends and really loves him. She convinces him of her love and they return to the clinic. |
