| Description: | Heiress Joan Prentice (Sylvia Sidney) falls for Jerry Corbett (Fredric March), a drunken writer. He reforms and writes a hit play, but then meets his old girlfriend, gets drunk and starts hanging out with her. Joan tries to have an open opinion and dates other men, but when she gets pregnant, she goes home to father. Jerry cleans up his act and reunites with her in the hospital after the baby has died. Cary Grant has a bit part as one of the men Joan dates. |
