| Description: | Calvin (Paul Dano) is a famous but lonely writer. He dreams of a girl named Ruby (Zoe Kazan) and begins writing about her. She becomes real and lives with him. He can make her do whatever he writes. But when he quits writing, she grows and soon isn't Calvin's perfect girl anymore. She isn't happy just sitting around all day being his girlfriend. She wants to live. He tries to write her back to his perfect dream, but every change he makes just makes things worse. He finally tells her who she is. She gets angry. Calvin writes her free, free of her past and of him. She leaves. He writes their story as fiction and it becomes a best-seller. And then he meets her in a park and they hit it off, but she doesn't know who he is. |
