Betty Boop is upset with her parents and so runs away from home with her dog Bimbo. They hide in a cave where a dancing walrus sings "Minnie the Moocher" while various ghosts and skeletons dance about. Betty and Bimbo are frightened and run back home. The singing voice is by Cab Calloway, and the cartoon opens with a couple minutes of actual footage of him dancing while his band plays.

Review - Minnie the Moocher

Weird. Atmospheric, but weird. Betty Boop was little more than a bit player. What's with the dancing walrus? I found it neither clever or interesting. I supposed it was amazingly innovative when it first came out, and the artwork was impressive, but it was too surreal for my taste.
