Written by James Thurber and animated in his cartoon style. A henpecked husband sees a unicorn in the garden and tries to convince his wife. She's convinced he's a "booby" and calls the police and a psychiatrist. They come and listen to the wife ranting about her husband and decide she's crazy. When they ask the husband if he told his wife about a unicorn, he denies it. As the wife is carted off, the husband smiles. The moral, at the end of the cartoon, is "Don't count your boobies until they're hatched."

Review - Unicorn in the Garden, The

The cartooning was simple. The story moved rather slowly but was saved by the twist ending when the vindictive wife gets carted off, leaving me to wonder if the husband really saw a unicorn or if it was just his plot to get rid of his wife.
