Loud and frenetic, too much so at times. But it was fun to watch Lemmon and the beautiful Kathryn Grant in their scenes.

| Description: | World War II is over, but at an American hospital base in France, the enlisted men still can't date nurses because they're considered officers. Private Hogan (Jack Lemmon) determines to hold a ball off base and, while he's at it, get to know Lt. Bixby (Kathry Grant). He organizes all the men, collects the supplies and manages to maneuver around several problems that arise in spite of the fact that Capt. Paul Lock (Ernie Kovacs) has it out for him and is watching him very closely. |
