Description:Hogan (Clint Eastwood) is a gunfighter hired by the Mexican army to help them defeat a French garrison. On his way, he happens upon a woman, Sara (Shirley MacLaine) being attacked by three men. He saves her, then finds out she's a nun sympathetic to the Mexicans and on the run from the French. He agrees to help her escape, and the two become friends. They destroy a French supply train by blowing up a bridge, then contact the Mexican army and come up with a plan to defeat the French. Hogan discovers that Sara isn't really a nun — in fact she's a prostitute. After the capture of the garrison, Hogan takes off with the French cash box — and Sara.

Review - Two Mules for Sister Sara

Has a few classic Eastwood moments, but also a lot of shots of people riding horses through Mexican scenery. At about the point where Hogan and Sara link up with the Mexican army, I began to lose interest and had a hard time staying awake to see the big finale where a bunch of Mexicans and French soldiers shoot each other in dramatic fashion while Eastwood runs around throwing dynamite at things. I don't care for Shirley MacLaine as an actress and didn't find her at all alluring in this movie. It didn't matter to me whether or not the two leads got together at the end.
