Description:When an arrest on an auto-theft gang goes wrong and his partner is killed, tough cop Nick Pulovski (Clint Eastwood) is given a new partner, rookie David Ackerman (Charlie Sheen). They track down the bad guys, led by Strom (Raul Julia) and his psycho woman, but things go wrong again and Nick is taken hostage. David goes all rogue cop on the town and beats, burns and shoots his way to Nick's rescue. They track Strom to an airport where there's a wild shoot-out, but all the right people die.

Review - Rookie, The

Violent and crude and implausible. Both Eastwood and Sheen said their lines like they were trying to create great quotes. The stunt where two guys drive a car out of the upper floor of an exploding building onto the roof of another building and then down through a skylight to the floor — and live — was ludicrous. The psycho woman was as unappealing a movie character as I've seen in a very long time.
