Description:Boxing trainer Frankie Dunn (Clint Eastwood), against his better judgment, takes on a female boxer, Maggie Fitzgerald (Hilary Swank). The two grow close as Maggie works her way up through the ranks and challenges to champ for the title. The champ is a dirty fighter and blindsides Maggie after a round is over. Maggie falls and hits her stool and breaks her neck. She's stuck in bed, hooked up to a breathing machine. Her white trash family comes by and tries to get her to sign over all her winnings to them. Then she begins losing limbs due to bed sores. She asks Frankie to help her die. He resists as long as he can, then finally does it. He then disappears from boxing. Morgan Freeman hangs around as Eddie Dupris, the manager of the gym where Frankie and Maggie train.

Review - Million Dollar Baby

I'm not a fan of boxing, and especially not of female boxing. I thought the acting was good. The ending, when Frankie helped Maggie die, was played for sympathy, and, without Christ, it's easy to understand why it would seem like a reasonable solution.
