Description:Straight-laced Sgt. Joe Friday (Dan Aykroyd) of the Los Angeles Police Force teams up with new partner Pep Streebek (Tom Hanks) to bring down the criminal organization PAGAN, run by Reverend Jonathan Whirley (Christopher Plummer) who is trying to take over the city's vice so he can make money from sin and from donations from those opposed to sin. Along the way, Friday falls in love with "the virgin Connie Swail" (Alexandra Paul), a young woman kidnapped by PAGAN.

Review - Dragnet

There was no plot to speak of, just an attempt (occasionally successful) at humor by contrasting the by-the-book Friday with the loose and hip Streebek. Harry Morgan was along for the ride as the captain. Silly and forgettable except for maybe three good lines.
