Description:Tom Jeffords (James Stewart) is an army scout who decides to do something about the war between the Apache and the Whites. He travels to their camp and meets with Cochise (Jeff Chandler). They work out an agreement to let the mail riders through. When this agreement is kept, Jeffords brings General Oliver Howard to meet Cochise and they sign a treaty to end the war. Meanwhile, Jeffords has fallen in love with a young Indian girl, Sonseeahray (Debra Paget) and marries her. A group of Whites, unhappy with the treaty, set a trap for Jeffords and Cochise. Jeffords is wounded but lives. Cochise escapes. Sonseeahray is killed. Her death convinces the Americans that war needs to stop and peace occurs.

Review - Broken Arrow

Based, loosely, on a true story. Rather dry. The characters are caricatures, there to tell the story but not very interesting. It's supposed to be groundbreaking because the Indians are shown as people and not just savages, but after years of "Indians good, White man evil" movies, it doesn't seem so earth shattering.
