Description:Professor Leaf (James Stewart) is a poet and college professor who loves all things art and hates all things science. When his son Erasmus turns out to be a mathematical genius, Leaf fights against it. But Leaf's daughter and her boyfriend discover that Erasmus' talent enables him to pick horses at the race track. A con man shows up and convinces Leaf to use the boy to win money to endow a foundation for the arts. Meanwhile, all Erasmus wants to do is meet Brigitte Bardot. He sends her a letter a day. The actress writes back and invites him to France. Leaf and the boy travel to meet her. Back at home, they go for one last score. The con man intends to take the winnings and run off with his girlfriend, but Leaf puts a stop to it and uses the money as intended for the foundation.

Review - Dear Brigitte

A silly plot with a lot of extraneous characters thrown in for no reason. The boy's infatuation with Brigitte Bardot serves no purpose other than to give her a cameo. Glynis Johns plays Leaf's wife, and Fabian plays the daughter's boyfriend.
