Description:Chance Buckman (John Wayne) makes his living putting out oil well fires. His job cost him his marriage because his wife Madelyn (Vera Miles) couldn't handle worrying about him all the time. When Chance is injured, his partner Greg Parker (Jim Hutton) contacts Chance and Madelyn's daughter Tish (Katharine Ross) and flies her to the hospital. Chance is OK, but Greg and Tish fall for each other and marry. Tish insists on coming to all the fires with Greg. In an attempt to protect her, Chance retires, but instead of quitting, Greg takes over the business. When four well fires break out in South America in a war zone, Greg asks Chance to come back and help. Madelyn comes along to see if she can handle it, and she and Chance get back together.

Review - Hellfighters

It was OK. The characters were likable enough and the effects were good. But in the end, it was a movie about putting out oil well fires and that's just not all that thrilling to me.
