| Description: | Chantal (Sandra Dee), coached by her French mother, sets out to find a husband. She ends up with Eugene (Bobby Darin), a professional photographer. When the romance begins to wane, Chantal's mom gives her a dog training book and tells her that the same principles apply. The marriage is humming along when Chantal's catty friend Tina (Stefanie Powers) tells Eugene all. He storms off. Chantal puts her mother's next plan into play — inventing a lover by sending herself flowers and leaving other clues. Eugene catches on and has his own father pretend to be the imaginary lover. This ploy causes Chantal to storm off in turn. But in the end, Eugene gets her back and all is well — and Chantal is pregnant. |
