Reviews for Double Indemnity
Review - Double Indemnity
Great film, except that there were no likeable characters, except for Robinson, who was excellent in his role.

| Description: | Insurance salesman Walter Neff (Fred MacMurray) is attracted to Phyllis Dietrichson (Barbara Stanwyck) even though he suspects she's looking for a way to kill her husband and cash in on his insurance. The two scheme to murder him and make it look like he fell off a train. Neff's coworker, investigator Barton Keyes (Edward G. Robinson) gets suspicious and begins looking into it. Neff comes up with a plan to frame Zachetti (who is dating Phyllis' stepdaughter, Lola), but Phyllis won't go along with it. Neff confronts Phyllis and she shoots him in the shoulder. He kills her and goes back to his office and makes a full confession on tape to Keyes, who comes in just to hear the end of it and see Neff die from loss of blood. |
