| Description: | Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) is an low-level boxer in Philadelphia whose primary concern is getting a date with Adrian (Talia Shire), who works at the local pet shop. When Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), the heavyweight champion has his opponent drop out, he picks Rocky to fight because he likes his nickname (The Italian Stallion). Rocky has five weeks to train. He knows he can't win but wants to stay in for all 15 rounds. He manages to do that, although he loses by split decision. Adrian moves in with him and they fall in love. |
