Description:Crude millionaire Harry Brock (Broderick Crawford) zips into Washington with his mistress Billie (Judy Holliday). He plans on working a deal with a congressman to give him a corner on the scrap metal market. He realizes that Billie is to uncultured to go out in society, so he hired reporter Paul Verrall (William Holden) to educate her and show her around. Over time, as Billie gains a thirst for learning, she and Paul fall in love. She gives Paul the information he needs to expose Brock, but he agrees not to do it if Brock cleans up his act. Paul and Billie get married.

Review - Born Yesterday

One of the many cause movies from about this time, this one about the right of people to think for and govern themselves. Holliday's character annoyed me throughout, but I can see that she did a good job of acting. All the characters were pretty much parodies.
