| Description: | Jack Ryan (Chris Pine) is recruited by the CIA to by a financial analyst on Wall Street. He discovers that the Russians are doing something or other to devalue the dollar, so he's sent to Moscow to audit a bank. He no sooner arrives than there's an attempt on his life. His handler, Thomas Harper (Kevin Costner), sends him to break into the Russian bank and download all their files. Things are complicated when Ryan's fiancee Cathy (Keira Knightley) shows up unexpectedly, especially after the break-in when she is held hostage by the Russia terrorist Viktor (Kenneth Branagh) in return for the data. Ryan goes into overdrive and chases Viktor's vehicle and rescues Cathy, then back in the states manages to single-handedly foil an attempt by Viktor's son to blow up Wall Street. |
