Review - Marathon Man
It kept my attention, although I wasn't always sure what was going on. But that was the point because neither did Babe. There was a lot of violence and blood.

Description: | Babe Levy (Dustin Hoffman) is a graduate student. He doesn't know that his brother Doc (Roy Scheider) is an assassin and double-agent. When Doc is stabbed to death, Babe becomes the target for an ex-Nazi torturer named Christian Szell (Laurence Olivier) who is in America to cash in on the huge hoard of diamonds he stole from Jews during the war. Babe is kidnapped and tortured by Szell ("Is it safe?"), but manages to escape. He kills several of Szell's men, then finds Szell and forces him to eat his diamonds. Szell refuses, they fight, and Szell falls to his death on his own knife. William Devane plays Peter Janeway, a crooked government agent working with Szell. Marthe Keller plays Elsa Opel, Babe's girlfriend who also turns out to be a courier for Szell. Both Janeway and Elsa are killed. |
