Description:Dr. Jack Griffin (Claude Rains) has discovered the secret of invisibility. He travels to a remote inn to work on finding an antidote, but the drugs he's taken drive him mad. When the innkeeper attempts to make him leave, Griffin goes crazy and kills a policeman. As the whole nation looks for him, Griffin goes to his colleague, Dr. Kemp, and demands his help. Afraid, Kemp calls the police. Griffin kills Kemp and several other people, derails a train, and terrorizes the countryside. Finally, he's trapped in a barn during a snowstorm. The barn is fired and Griffin has to leave. His footprints give him away and he is shot. In the hospital, on his deathbed, he regains sanity, says goodbye to his fiancee Flora, and dies, becoming visible as he does so.

Reviews for The Invisible Man

Review - Invisible Man, The

The movie goes quickly. When it begins, Griffin is already invisible and nearly insane. I don't know that a longer film would have kept my interest, since there's basically just the one plot point—how do you find an invisible man? The special effects were impressive for 1933.
